About us

What LePost is, how the articles come about, and what to hold us to.

Stand:

What LePost is

LePost is an independent online medium for news, analysis and practical information. LePost belongs to no publisher and no media corporation and works editorially independently.

The service is under construction. What you see here grows step by step — we prefer to start with a few sound articles rather than many shallow ones.

How the articles come about

We work with a virtual newsroom: artificial intelligence tools support research, the structuring of information and the writing of first drafts. Every draft then passes a review of sources, accuracy and language — and is released by a human before it appears.

We say this openly because it matters for judging what you read. There is no fully automatic publication, and none is planned.

Our principles

  • Substantial factual claims are supported by verifiable sources. The sources are shown with the article.
  • What is uncertain or disputed is named as uncertain or disputed.
  • News and opinion are kept apart and marked as such.
  • Errors are corrected and the correction is shown — not changed silently.
  • Images are used only with a cleared licence; source, author and licence are shown with the image. If no legally safe image is found, the article appears without one.
  • Editorial decisions are taken independently of commercial interests.
  • Paid content is labelled. There is none at present.

Funding

LePost is under construction. It is currently funded by its operator.

Advertising may be used for long-term funding in future. Advertising will be clearly separated from editorial content. What appears editorially is decided by the newsroom — not by an advertiser. Any change will be stated in the privacy notice beforehand.
