Accessibility
What we do about it — and what has not been tested yet.
Stand:
Our aim
This website should be usable without a mouse, without distinguishing colours, and with a screen reader. In development and design we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA.
As far as we currently understand, there is no statutory obligation for this service to publish an accessibility statement. Regardless of that, we want our content to be as accessible as possible.
What is in place
- Pages use semantic markup with a consistent heading structure.
- Every page starts with a “skip to content” link that bypasses the navigation.
- Every page carries a meaningful title.
- All controls can be reached by keyboard; focus is visible.
- There is a light and a dark mode. We measured 5.9 for body text and 18.9 for headings in light mode, 7.7 and 17.5 in dark mode — 4.5 is required for normal text.
- Images carry alternative text.
- Font sizes can be enlarged in the browser without losing content.
- Motion is reduced when your operating system asks for it.
What has not been tested
No full third-party audit has taken place. In particular, operation with screen readers has not been tested systematically so far.
We state this here instead of claiming a conformance we have not verified.
Reporting a barrier
If something makes access difficult for you, write to us at kontakt@lepost.de. Please name the page and what did not work.
We examine every report carefully and aim to fix problems promptly. You will hear back from us on whether and when we can fix it.
